Miss Stewart was recently named to appear in the 1974-75 edition of “Who’s who among students in American Junior Colleges”. She is a cheerleader and secretary of the Motlow Student Government Association.
Miss Stewart, who was also last year’ homecoming queen, was nominated by this year by the baseball team. She is an education major.
Other finalists were Miss Vicki West, Miss Helen Hammons and Miss Sherry Honey, all of Fayetteville; and Miss Sandy Sargent of Winchester.
The homecoming queen and her court were presented by Saturday night by Miss Jennie, Ring, president of the Student Government Association.
After the basketball game in which Motlow boys defeated Hiwassee College, 93-89, about 225 Motlow students and alumni attended a homecoming dance at the student center. The Music City Limits, a “country-rock” band from Nashville, provided the music.
