Pat Moore Named ‘Queen’ at Motlow
Miss Pat Moore of Lynchburg, was named homecoming queen of Motlow College during half-time of the Motlow-Morristown basketball game Saturday night. Miss Moore, a freshman majoring in special education, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moore. A Moore County High School graduate, she plans to transfer to Tennessee Tech in Cookeville after graduating at Motlow. She was sponsored by the cheerleaders. Eight students were nominated for homecoming queen by student organizations. Preliminary voting narrowed the field to five, and the winner was named at Saturday’s game. Members of Miss Moore’s court were Miss Susan Brock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Brock of Cowan; Miss Jane Cunningham, daughter of Mrs. W. B. Clark of Lynchburg; Miss Sue Luther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Luther of Tullahoma, and Miss Pam Pam Nicholson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Nicholson III of Estill Springs. Homecoming at Motlow was celebrated by a dance after the game in the Student Union. Orville Moffitt’s Jazz Ensemble provided music before the game, and Jimmy Church and the Review from Nashville provided music for the dance.
