Motlow games scheduled
Motlow College's men's basketball team was to have played last night, and the next games for the men's and women's teams are Wednesday.
Roane State will be here with both contests figuring in the Tennessee Junior-Community College Conference standings. The women's contest starts at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game begins at 7:30 p.m.
At the halftime of the men's contest, there will be another attempt at making a mid-court basket. The shot will be worth $2,000 if the shooter nets the ball as the last three attempts have been missed and so the pot has been increased to $2,000.
If the shot is missed, the money will be added to the next attempt which be held on Jan. 30 when Walters State of Morristown comes to Motlow. At selected games a $500 prize is put in the pot for the shooter. Anyone can register during the women's game or right up until halftime of the men's contest. A name will be drawn and that person will have a chance at making the basket and winning the money.
No entry fee is required and the money is made available by Woodard's Diamond Showroom in Northgate Mall, Tullahoma.
There is no admission charge for Motlow's home basketball games.
