Lady Bucks win fourth in a row

1999 is shaping up to be the "Year of the Lady Buck" as the Motlow State women have now won four in a row following Wednesday's 68-57 win over conference rival Roane State.
A little over a month ago, the Lady Bucks were 3-10, but have since boosted their mark to 7-10. More important, though, the Moltow women are 1-0 in the Tennessee Junior and Communi- ty College Association standings after Wednesday's win.
And Wednesday, the Lady Bucks were on a rampage, taking a 49-31 lead in the second half, before the Roane Lady Raiderettes chipped away at the advantage, closing the gap to four points with a little more than a minute to go.

"I felt good that we got the lead we did because I was not expecting that," Motlow coach Karen Serra said.
But 10 Motlow free throws down the stretch sealed the deal.
Motlow's Amy Tudor, the team's only sophomore, led all scorers with 22 points, including four treys and a 8-of-9 effort from the charity stripe.
Fellow guards Andrea Pat- terson and Terri Henry poured in 13 and 12 respectively, which was crucial since the Lady Radierettes did an effective job of denying the ball down low
and pounding the glass.
At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the Lady Bucks will be back in action at Chattanooga State in another conference contest. Tuesday, Motlow travels to Hiwassee, and Saturday the Lady Bucks will tip off in Copperweld Arena against Walters State with a tip off time of 2:30 p.m.
