PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Motlow State Community College performs a community service in administering the Federal Public Employment Program for the South Central District of Tennessee, which encompasses 13 counties and cities within these counties. This program was authorized by Congress under the Emergency Employment Act of 1971. Funds were allocated to cities and counties for needed public services, creating jobs for qualified applicants who were unemployed and underemployed. Special consideration is being given to Vietnam and other Veterans who qualify and need employment.
Mr. Burl Poe, Director, and Mrs. Rebecca Allison, secretary, of the program base their office in the Student Center Building.

Neighborhood Youth Corp
The Neighborhood Youth Corp (NYC) offices are located in the field house on the Motlow campus.
The NYC program is designed to increase the employability of and reorient youth who are school dropouts. This is done by providing supervised part-time work, guidance and counseling, and individualized educational programs.

Food Services
The office of the Educational Supervisor of Area School Food Services is located in the classroom building. Mrs. Cleo Carpenter, Area Supervisor, has many responsibilities some of which include program promotion and interpretation, assisting in establishing policies and developing standards, making visits to schools for the purpose of making administrative reviews to be used for program improvement. Mrs. Donah Hall is the secretary in this office
